This wine is from United States, California region, Napa County sub-region and Saint Helena appellation. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Bartolucci vineyard on Dean York Lane in St. Helena.The fruit was harvested on September 18 through October 8, with an average Brix of 25.8 degrees. This wine is from United States, California region, Napa County sub-region and Rutherford appellation. I tasted the core blend of the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (which represented about 95% of the final blend). This may turn out to be Staglin's finest vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon to date. It boasts a dense purple color, a superb fragrance (a characteristic of this vintage) composed of sweet cassis intermixed with subtle smoke, loamy soil, and gobs of black raspberry and black currant fruit.
