I tasted the core blend of the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (which represented about 95% of the final blend). This may turn out to be Staglin's finest vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon to date. It boasts a dense purple color, a superb fragrance (a characteristic of this vintage) composed of sweet cassis intermixed with subtle smoke, loamy soil, and gobs of black raspberry and black currant fruit.
